After graduating as an electrical engineer, doctor of medical sciences, and bachelor of business management, I founded Imagilys, a company specializing in advanced brain imaging, biomarkers and neurosurgical planning. Through collaborations with research teams at Harvard University, Johns Hopkins Medicine, and Liege University's Coma Science group, I endeavor to bring the most advanced brain imaging techniques from bench to bedside. My efforts have resulted in multiple publications in medical journals and at international conferences, but also in a neuroimaging software, BrainMagix, which has been used on thousands of patients. Having served as a university professor for 10 years, I am now the organizer of Imagilys’ Advanced Clinical Neuroimaging Course, teaching advanced neuroimaging techniques to doctors from all around the world. Through continuing medical education at Harvard Medical School, Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH), and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), I am continually at the leading edge of the newest techniques.
Vasileios Katsaros, MD, PhD, is a neuroradiologist at Athens Oncological Hospital and scientific associate at Athens University’s Department of Neurosurgery. He was trained at Freiburg University Hospital. He has more than 20 years of experience in the clinical imaging of brain diseases, with a special focus on multi-modal imaging of brain tumors.
Carol Di Perri, MD, is an Italian neurologist and neuroradiologist. She is a researcher at Liege University’s Coma Science Group, under the supervision of Prof. Steven Laureys. She specializes in the neuroimaging of patients with disorders of consciousness, and especially in the study of their brain’s connectivity, using resting-state fMRI.
Imagilys develops and sells a neuroimaging software suite. One asset differentiates us from most of our competitors: we focus exclusively on the brain, whereas other companies sell generic whole-body workstations. BrainMagix is the result of 10 years of research and development. We help our customers, throughout the world, to diagnose and cure patients with severe neurological, neurosurgical, and psychiatric diseases. We help pharmaceutical companies and CROs to use the most advanced biomarkers for the discovery of promising drugs. We collaborate with experts at Harvard Medical School and Johns Hopkins University. In addition, we benefit from the continuous support of the Brussels-Capital Region. Finally, we train neuroradiologists, physicians, engineers, and physicists several times a year on the most advanced neuroimaging techniques in the framework of our Advanced Clinical Neuroimaging Courses.
