Our CEO, Dr. Laurent Hermoye, have been invited to moderate scientific session The ageing brain: cognition and dementia, at the European Congress of Radiology in Vienna. The mystery of healthy brain ageing is still unsolved, and some senior citizens are affected by devastating diseases. We will review the contribution of advanced brain imaging techniques to the understanding of preserved cognition, and to the diagnosis of mild cognitive impairment, Alzheimer's disease, and other types of dementia. Join us on March 4, from 10:30 to 12:00, in Room E2.

Last week, at Liege University's Coma Science Group, we scanned the brain of Guillaume Néry, world champion of freediving. By holding their breath for more than 6 minutes, freedivers challenge the limits of human physiology, in order to descend into the ocean's depths. However, after 20 years of intense freediving, Guillaume's MRI, visualized in our neuroimaging software suite BrainMagix, revealed no structural abnormalities.
